To begin with we started out talk about lesson plans. We found this cool website: Lessonplanspage.com It has a whole bunch of lesson plans that other teachers have posted and tried out. Professor Short wants us to use one of the lesson plans that are already on the site and integrade information we have learned about in class.
Amy Rothenberg is our guest speaker for the night. She is a master at the Smart Board and she will be talking to us about ways to use the smart board in our classrooms.
Amy showed us some valuable information about programs that are available through the smart board. Children are able to make graphs and do all sorts of neat things with these smart boards.
She also told us about Smart Sync. Smart Sync is a program that allows the instructor to see all of the students computers and help them through the computer without having to walk around and try to help multiple students at the same time. It also allows a teacher to block websites and log off the computer . All of the tools she is sharing with us are really neat and i cant wait to have one of my own in my own classroom :)
Tonight's class was awesome! I really learned a lot!!
