It's almost fridayyy : )

Today i learned how to hook up a Mimio Interactive system!

It is a piece of hardware that turns your whiteboard into a interactive

board. There is a website if you want to browse:

They are on sale on Ebay and Buynow.com for anywhere

around $600! I cant wait to become a teacher and play

with the technology all day!

Unfortunatly we have a quiz on Chapter 3 : ( !!

We also learned about Microsoft Word and "paint". It was pretty neat!!

I am confused about the lesson plan that is due soon :/

Well it has been another fun night in Ed. Tech : )

Lynne Coris is our guest speaker tonight. She brought in a really neat handout with awesome links and web resources that will help with lesson plans and teaching in general in the long run! We also worked with the Smart Senteo Clickers. They let students click in answers which calculate on the Smart Board! i can not wait to get into a classroom and start playing with these awesome devices :)

Lynne Coris is the guest speaker for tonight! She brought with her a great packet of educational technology standards and an awesome cd full of so many useful websites that i cant wait to check out~

Day 3 : )

To begin with its POURING!
Today in class we are learning about the document projector. It is a pretty neat little camera that displays a document and can also capture the document and freeze it! I thought it was a great idea and way more advanced then the projectors with the transparencies and vis-a-vis :)

We have a quiz today over chapter 2! :/ completely forgot all about it, so i am going to cram it all in right now :) hopefully this goes well!

Today Professor Short brought in some neat pieces of technology for us to see. I would post what they were but the names and numbers are too complicating, just know they are really neat. You can refer to Linda's blog for names and pictures :)!

I also found out today that Wiki-pedia is not absolutly horrible. It is an outstanding website to get a broad overview of the subject, maybe not the best for research papers but not completely terrible.

The smart board is pretty awesome! Can't wait to have one in my classroom :P

We also went over the rubric project that is due next week

Today's class was very successful ;) i learned alot of information that would be neat to incorporate into the classroom!
